Weekly Offering Starting from September!
Join us for an exploratory journey of movement, mindfulness, and community. “The Dance Project” invites you to experience conscious dance as a space for self-expression, healing, and connection. Held weekly at Topa Institute, this event offers an environment where we move together exploring authenticity, guided by the values of Awareness, Intention, Safety, Interconnectedness, Playfulness, and Exploration.
*During the summer months (June through August), The Dance Project will be offered once a month as we build momentum and connection. Then, beginning in September, we’ll shift into a regular weekly rhythm—gathering every Friday evening at Topa Institute.

Our Values:
- Awareness: Cultivate a deeper connection to your body, emotions, and the present moment as you explore the freedom of movement.
- Intention: Inviting a personal and shared journey.
- Safety: Supporting a space of mutual respect for individual boundaries.
- Interconnectedness: Experience the interconnectedness of moving bodies, recognizing that each individual’s movement contributes to the whole.
- Playfulness: Embrace the joy of self-expression and the freedom to explore new ways of moving.
- Exploration: Step outside of your comfort zone, discovering new possibilities and expanding your movement vocabulary.
The Flow
Each session begins with a gentle warm-up to ground and prepare the body, followed by 90 minutes of multi-genre music guiding us through various soundscapes. Each week will be hosted by a different host with or without facilitation. The event concludes with a closing circle, where we come together to reflect and share our experiences.

Event Guidelines:
- Please remove your outdoor shoes before entering the dance space to honor the sacredness of the floor.
- Obtain permission before making a Physical contact with others. Consider other movers’ comfort and needs.
- Keep talking and conversation outdoors. This allows for a deeper immersion in the experience and encourages non-verbal communication.
- We embrace an atmosphere of inclusiveness, welcoming all bodies, abilities, and backgrounds.
- You are encouraged to move or not move—honor your body’s needs. Whether more actively dancing or resting in stillness, you are part of the dance.
- Please aim to stay for the entire event, from beginning to end, to fully experience the journey.
- To maintain the sanctity of the space, no food or drinks are allowed, except for water.
